Health Fortnight with P6-7C

For the last two weeks, the pupils at Riverbank have been able to find out about health and participate in all kinds of activities relating to health and well-being.

Sandra Cook, who has taught yoga at Riverbank for a number of years now, was in attendance at Health Fortnight and several classes were able to join in and work together in enjoying a yoga class. The team work exercises proved extremely popular and the children definitely enjoyed themselves.

Among our other visitors for Health Fortnight was the Coastguard. They explained what their job is…completely different from the lifeboats….and they arrived in their vehicle and had kit and equipment they use in the course of their work. Again, our pupils had great fun trying on the kit, using the equipment and probably all of Tillydrone could tell how much they enjoyed sounding the siren! This was a very informative visit.
