Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

The Riverbank Community enjoy the Christmas Service.

Our end of term Christmas service took place today. The service had, originally, been scheduled to take place at St George’s Church on Hayton Road but with the awful weather forecast, it was decided that it would be better to have the Rev Weir come to us, at Riverbank.

Mr Weir arrived in school and the service included a Charlie Brown clip about the meaning of Christmas. Some of the older pupils told the story of Christmas and we sang some lovely songs and we finished off with the Christmas story told in song, enacted by puppets and to the tune of Bohemian Rhapsody.

We were pleased to welcome some parents, grandparents, carers and friends to share our Christmas service. Thank you for your support.

We hope that everyone has a smashing Christmas and that 2017 is a great New Year for everyone! The sad news is that school is open again, for everybody, on Monday 9 January 2017!
