The Titanic Sails, Again, for Primary 3

The Primary 3 classes at Riverbank are very keen to tell me all about the topic they’re studying this term. There’slots of history, geography and environmental knowledge to be gained from studying the one, and only, voyage of the Titanic. The famous luxury liner sank on its maiden voyage when it struck an iceberg and sank with a huge loss of lives.

This was the beautiful model of the Titanic which was made at home by father and son.

The children have come and shown me research which they have carried out at home and I have been amazed about how much they know about what happened  to the Titanic. There seems to be a great fascination about the fate of this famous ship and this is evident in the enthusiasm the two classes have shown for this topic.

One young chap worked with his dad, at home, and made a great model of the Titanic. This model was constructed from an empty cereal box, some cocktail sticks and decorated with nothing more than a biro pen. It looks great!
