Judo Champ at Riverbank

Our very own Judo silver medallist.

We always take an interest in what our pupils get up to out of school and a young gentleman came to see me on Friday and I was so impressed with what he had to tell me.

He has been attending Judo classes at the Beach Leisure Centre. He has moved from being a white belt to a red belt. I think that’s stages one and two in the Judo process. On Thursday evening, he took part in his first Judo tournament and came second, winning a silver medal. He was even able to tell me how the moves had gone for and against him. I’m sure that this young man will progress even further if he perseveres with his Judo.

Well done, sir! Keep up the good work!
