Jim, The Riverbank Lollipop Man, Retires & Who Comes Next?

The Riverbank Lollipop Man is hanging up his high viz clothing and stacking up his lollipop stick so that he can enjoy a LollipopManwell-earned retirement.

Jim has been the school crossing patrol man on Hayton Road for 14 years. Hundreds and hundreds of school pupils and many adults have been safely conducted across the street by Jim. He has rarely missed a school day and is so helpful and kind to all those who have been lucky enough to know him.

Jim has even turned out on school picnic days to ensure that the whole school has been able to cross the road safely on their way to Seaton Park.

Jim’s last day will be Friday 30 January and he will be popping into school for a chat and a cup of coffee. If any parent or child would like to make a small donation to help purchase a retirement gift for Jim, then please do so at the school office.

We all hope JIm will have a long and happy retirement.
