Riverbank Pupils to Visit Techfest
Once again, the pupils at Riverbank will all enjoy, first hand, Techfest, the hands on Science and Technology Festival.
Classes from Riverbank will attend Techfest on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The children will take part in a variety of different activities which may include Where Did My Dinner Go?, Supermarket Science, Brilliant Blood and Weather Workshop to name just a few.
The children will be taken to and from Techfest by bus. This year, for the first time, Techfest is now being held at the Gordon Barracks at Bridge of Don. This will enable Techfest to have more room for their visitors to enjoy the learning experience.
I’m sure your children will want to share what they’ve done at Techfest so be sure to ask them about their visit. If you want to see the full Techfest programme which is available, please click on the following link: http://www.techfestsetpoint.org.uk/tis/uploads/files/programmes/2015/2015%20primary%20web.pdf?size=6480664
Techfest also run a full programme of events over the course of the week – Monday 14 September – Sunday 20 September – with many parent and child activities. So, if your child enjoys the school experience, why not think of having a family Techfest experience too. We do have some copies of the public event programme available in school but the link below will take you to the full programme available:
Oh, and one last thing, all of the children will require a packed lunch on the day they are at Techfest!
