Welcome to the North East!

At Riverbank, we have pupils from all over the world! These children find out about our customs and traditions and we find out about theirs. This provides a rich learning environment for all of our pupils. The EAL or English as an Additional Language teachers are always at hand to lend support and some of our pupils even spend two mornings a week with the EAL staff at their HQ in Sunnybank School.

Not only does EAL help out with the pupils, they can also provide useful and helpful information for the parents of our pupils. They have made us aware of a new website which gives help and advice on living and working in the North East. The link below will take you to the site. From the website, you can download a booklet called Living & Working in the North East. The booklet is available in the following languages – English, Polish, Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Arabic. We hope it may prove to be useful. I have placed the link below.
