Primary 2C Display their Royal Art Gallery.
Miss Arnott’s class always produce some wonderful art work. She obviously has a talent which sees her get the best, artistically, from the pupils in her care. Recently, the children were looking at royal portraits and this led to them painting their own royal portraits. These were royal portraits with a twist! Not only did they have to paint a self-portrait, they had to paint themselves as a king or a queen!!
What a splendid job they made of their tasks too. We were so impressed with their work, that Mrs Ironside asked Miss Arnott to display their paintings following the sharing assembly. The art gallery was available for parents and carers to visit and it remained open in the afternoon for the volunteers’ afternoon tea. During the tea, the youngsters from Primary 2B entertained our visitors by showing their pieces of art and explaining all about them, too.
What a lovely idea…having an art gallery. We have some talented artists. Well done 2C and Miss Arnott!
