Water Safety Event
Last Friday, the upper stages pupils at Riverbank spent an afternoon down by the riverside…think I feel a song coming on!
This event consisted of a number of workshops, all outside or at the Tilly Community Cemtre, which were used to highlight the dangers of playing around water. Whether that water is at the seaside, riverside or swimming pool, children need to be acutely aware of the dangers. One of the unseen dangers is how cold the water is…even on the hottest of days.
The afternoon’s work was very good and the children came back much more aware of the dangers and how to keep themselves safe.
My thanks to Mrs Ullah for the photographs.
