Free School Meals

A number of years ago, now, the Scottish Government put in place an initiative whereby children in Primaries 1, 2 and 3 were to, and still do, receive a school meal free of charge. For children from Primaries 4 to 7, the system is different. Some parents may have to pay for their child to have a school meal. The current price of a school meal is £2.10. Some parents may be eligible for free school meals. To claim free school meals for your child(ren) you must complete the form which I have shown below. You will see that there is a section which explains who is eligible to claim for free school meals. I have also placed, beneath the form a link so that you can download a form and complete it, if you wish to make application for free school meals.
