Learning is Fun with Water…..
Following on from my previous article, I received some more photographs from Michelle Howarth showing other activities which involved water and which were great fun.
Like the mental maths and water balloons, the children were able to participate in a shoot the ducks activity. The ducks had a number on them and the task involved shooting the duck with the correct answer to the sum or problem you were given to solve. Some rather fancy water pistols were used and, just for all you animal lovers…..no real ducks were harmed during this activity! Again, the learning experience proved to be great fun.
And…it’s not just maths you can have fun with. Some phonics work was also carried out.
You just need to look at the faces in the photographs to see how much fun the pupils had doing their ‘work’!
