Riverbank Completes RRSA Reaccreditation Assessment
Friday 7 June 2019 saw Riverbank provide hospitality for two assessors from UNICEF’s Rights Respecting School Award.
Mrs Sunley and I would like to thank everyone at Riverbank for all their hard work over the last three years and also for lots of effort to ensure that the school was looking great for the visit of the assessors.
A special thank you goes to all the adults who were part of the adult focus group who were interviewed by our assessors. This included PSAs, EYPs, members of staff from EAL, RADS, Active Schools as well as members of our Parent Council and Mr Thomson of FROM. If I’ve missed anyone, I apologise and we would like to thank you all for making yourselves available to provide information to RRSA.
Thanks, too, to all staff and pupils at Riverbank who work together to provide such an excellent and friendly atmosphere in school. This really supports learning.
Our greatest unsung heroes must be Jiaiy, Layton, Emily and Shelley! Emily and Shelley led the walk round for the assessors and they were praised for how much information they held in order to be able to explain what the assessors were seeing and, also, answer all their questions.
Emily and Shelley were joined by Jiaiy and Layton for the presentation which had to be made. They delivered the presentation beautifully, helping each other out at tricky moments. Well done, to the four of you!
The assessors were very complimentary about our bid for a 3rd time reaccreditation at Gold Level and they will send in their report to the RRSA Committee and we will have to wait for their decision.
Once again, a great team Riverbank effort. Well done everyone and we wait expectantly and hopefully for the final decision of the awards committee.
