To celebrate World Book Day the children had the opportunity to vote for their favourite book. The winning book was ‘Pants and More Pants’ which led to the decoration of our nursery door. Some of the children also dressed up as their favourite book character.
Thanks to all who kindly brought pants for our door and participated in reading books to the children throughout the week.
Have a look at some photos of our walk around the school looking at the amazing classroom doors!
We would like to share some of our photos from Pancake Day.
The children had lots of fun working together to measure out the ingredients to make the mixture. The children poured and flipped their pancake ensuring to be safe around the griddle before decorating and eating them for snack!
We are currently building up a new relationship with Robertson Group.
Kelly, Sophie and Dave the Bear had a visit to nursery this week to discuss all things safety and provide some beginner experiences using some tools within their construction industry.
The children loved every minute of the visit, sharing their knowledge, dressing in the safety uniform and guessing the equipment in the hidden box.
We will continue to work alongside Robertson Group who will be providing workshops and opportunities to visit local building sites.
The children had so much fun at our Christmas party with lots of games, competitions, prizes, food and dancing. We had a visit from a very special guest who played us some songs on his guitar – he also gave us all a present!
A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas sing-a-long. The children performed extremely well and were delighted to share this festivity with their families. The extra voices in the audience were much appreciated. Happy caroling!
The children had lots of fun decorating the nursery Christmas tree! They all worked together to create a bright, colourful and festive looking tree. Well done everyone!
We explored the community on a wet and windy day and took a visit to our local shop to buy snack for the afternoon.
The children chose a loaf of bread and a range of fruit (with a little support in reaching the top shelves). The children used their numeracy skills to count the correct amount of change needed to pay for the groceries and handed it over to the shop assistant.
Well done to all the children who took part in the Sponsored Walk before the October holidays! The children did extremely well and everyone successfully completed the aim of 4 laps (1 mile) round the playground.
A huge thank you also to everyone who supported the children and sponsored them to take part. We are delighted to say that those efforts have raised a total of £1794.58!!
As a part of the School 10th Birthday, we were so lucky to have an exciting visitor – a Magician! He showed us so many fun tricks and the children were laughing a lot. Check for yourself 🙂
