Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 November were special dates at Riverbank School as these were Parents’ Night and Afternoon dates but they were also the dates chosen to re-launch the Riverbank Whole School Charter.<\/p>\n

The Whole School Charter is based round the U<\/strong>nited N<\/strong>ations C<\/strong>onvention\u00a0on the R<\/strong>ights of the C<\/strong>hild and is part of our R<\/strong>ights R<\/strong>especting S<\/strong>chool ethos. The whole school charter is developed from the class charters which are joint agreements about the expectations that the children have of the staff and the staff have of the children.<\/p>\n

The Charter is, very much, at the heart of the school ethos ensuring that the children Learn Together, Play Together and Achieve Together, this being the School Vision. Alongside this are the school values of Friendliness, Helping, Respect, Caring & Fun. The charter encourages the pupils and staff to be the best they can be. Children signed up to the charter by choosing and decorating a butterfly. The butterflies became an integral part of the Charter display.<\/p>\n
