Friday 30 June was the last day of the 2016-2017 academic session and for our Primary 7s, it was their last day of being a Riverbank School pupil before they commence their secondary education in August.<\/p>\n

The assembly also took note of other leavers including Miss Ness who is setting off to a teaching post in Dundee and Amy, one of our PSAs, who is going to University to train to be a teacher. Mrs Macleod was also part of the leavers contingent. She will be leaving her post as Depute and retiring from full time work but will be returning in the new session two days a week to teach outdoor education. The Primary 7 leavers all received a package of memories whilst the adult leavers received gifts and cards.<\/p>\n

The assembly also acknowledged trophy winners. Seaton’s House Captains<\/span><\/strong> accepted the sports trophy, which they won back at the beginning of June, and\u00a0St Machar’s House Captains<\/strong><\/span> accepted the Tilly Vision Cup as overall House Champions for Session 2016-17. St Machar House pupils and staff<\/span><\/strong> recieved their reward with a private showing of The Secret Life of Pets at the Belmont Cinema. The TillyVision shield for citizenship was awarded to one of our Primary 7 boys, whilst the Marlyn Grant Quaiche, awarded to a pupil showing significant academic progress, was awarded to one of the Primary 7 girls. It was lovely to have Miss Grant back at Riverbank to make the presentation of the quaiche.<\/p>\n

This was a very happy occasion and supported by parents, carers and relatives.<\/p>\n
