Wednesday 13 December was the date for Riverbank’s visit to His Majesty’s Theatre to see this year’s panto – Aladdin.<\/p>\n

You wouldn’t believe how much organisation goes into getting the whole school out on a visit like this. Tickets have to be ordered. Seating plans for the auditorium have to be researched to plan where the classes are going to sit as we are sharing the theatre with other schools and members of the public. Buses need to be booked and that can be awkward as our return journey will clash with school runs which the bus company has on a daily basis. The organisation also requires to have the correct number of adults for children and that included some parent helpers as well as staff and volunteers. So, first of all, a big thank you to everyone who made this happen.<\/p>\n

Next, the panto was a real spectacle. The jokes were funny, Jimmy Osmpnd sang well but maybe he was a little too nice to be the baddie. Sadly, I am old enough to remember the words to some of the Osmonds songs which he sang.<\/p>\n

The pupils really enjoyed themselves and the adventure wasn’t over when we left the theatre. There were so many buses when we got back to Riverbank, we brought gridlock to Tillydrone..OOPS!<\/p>\n
