Today saw the last day of Primary School for our current Primary 7s. They will all be moving on to various academies. They received a Leavers’ Pack containing a number of mementos as well as an autograph book and pen….. I now have writer’s cramp.<\/p>\n

The culmination of their presentation was a song about leaving to the tune of Shut Up & Dance and the theme tune to The Fast & Furious 7, both sung by our P7s. It was a lovely end to their time at Riverbank!<\/p>\n

The Leavers’ Assembly also played host to the official presentation of the House Cup to Hayton House and the Sports Cup to Seaton House.<\/p>\n

The winners of the design a football kit, soccer aid challenge and the treasure hunt were also announced and they received their prizes.<\/p>\n

The four pupils involved in presenting to and escorting the RRSA assessors who visited us for our Gold Level Reaccreditation were recognised with a certificate and RRSA UNICEF badge.<\/p>\n

Finally, the winners of the Marlyn Grant Quaich and the Tilly Vision Cup were announced. All nominees had received a gift token and certificate. The Quaich is awarded to the pupil who has made giant strides in their learning and the Tilly Vision Cup is awarded to the pupil who has shown good citizenship.<\/p>\n

A special presentation was made to our school cook, Wilma, who has retired and to Roseanne who has been a pupil escort for many years at Riverbank and, previously, Donbank.<\/p>\n

Roseanne’s was presented with her flowers by the last two Riverbank pupils to be escorted by her.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We wish Wilma a long and enjoyable retirement and we hope Roseanne enjoys her work with her new pupils.<\/p>\n

It was great to see so many parents join us for this special assembly, to celebrate the award winners as well as saying farewell to our Primary 7s.<\/p>\n

A big thank you to all the staff, pupils and parents as well as the wider community for their continued support of Riverbank School. Have a good holiday!<\/p>\n
