Back in November, Riverbank helped celebrate 30 years of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.<\/p>\n

The children were invited to come to school wearing something blue – UNICEF’s colour. Classes carried out work in literacy and numeracy on a Paddington theme as this was the theme set by UNICEF.<\/p>\n

The children were able to buy raffle tickets for a giant bear which had been donated by Mrs Adam, one of our PSAs. We all managed to watch the Paddington movie too. Although we watched it in two parts and in stages, we all came together in the afternoon to share the climax of the movie together. Everyone loved the story.<\/p>\n

Some classes made UNCRC Birthday Cards with an Article of the Convention highlighted.<\/p>\n

I’m sure, much to the annoyance of several drivers on Hayton Road, we even did a 30th Birthday Speedwatch Special. One passer-by even told us we should do our Speedwatch more often!<\/p>\n

Some of the Articles of the Convention were revisited and worked on and we had a lovely day at Riverbank!<\/p>\n
