UNICEF Day for Change
Riverbank celebrated UNICEF’s Day for Change on Thursday 13 February 2014 with some special events. The focus of this year’s Day for Change was Education and we emphasised literacy. We were fortunate to be able to have the children’s author, Wes Magee, visit us in school that day. Wes enteratined the whole school with some poems and stories and then worked with individual classes. Highlights of his visit were his different methods of clapping and the poem called ‘Stroke the Cat’. A thoroughly enjoyable and educational day!
