Lots to Experience at Techfest

Tuesday and Wednesday were the two days when Riverbank was relatively quiet as classes visited Techfest. Apart from some minor problems, the children thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience. It was particularly exciting for our new Primary 1 pupils who, not only, had a trip out of school, but also had packed lunch out of school too.

Many different workshops were trialled by our young scientists and hearing the children talk about what they saw and did was illuminating.

As usual, Mr Bug was extremely popular, but one of the most interesting workshops was a demonstration of 3D printing. P4-5B, Miss Miller’s class, came back with a perfect, plastic nut and bolt which was made on a 3D printer.

I have posted some photographs but soon you will be able to view each class’ web pages, where you will be able to see what your child’s class did at Techfest. We’ll keep you posted as to when these extra pages on our website will become available.
