Archie in Africa Up-Date

How The Lion King Helped

This is a long overdue posting on our website and I apologise to Emma at the Archie Foundation for taking so long to get round to getting this done. My only excuse is that we have been snowed under with all sorts of other Riverbank news.

Anyway…better late than never. Just to recap: Riverbank took part in Archie for Africa Day back on April Fools Day – April 1st. We had a special showing of the Lion King and the pupils were able to buy some popcorn and watch the film in the school hall. A small donation was requested and the money was passed on to the Archie Foundation. Below, I have inserted a slideshow which shows exactly what our donations helped to provide for children in Uganda.

UNCRC Article 24Every child has the right to the best possible health. Governments must work to provide good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment. Richer countries must help poorer countries achieve this.
