Unusual Homework Activity Completed!

Mrs Ullah’s P6-7 class carried out a really unusual homework activity this week. In an earlier post, you may recall that each child received a pumpkin and they had to create a Hallowe’en carved pumpkin for homework. Well, just you wait and see what they have produced.

You can see that a great deal of effort went in to producing the finished items. Part of the work was completed in school and that was creating the design that was going to be carved into the pumpkin. The hard, messy work was carried out at home, where the design had to be transferred on to the pumpkin and all the cutting out had to be done.

Mrs Macleod judged the finished items and it was a really difficult decision for her. In the end she chose three which she though just edged it and these were the cat pumpkin, the owl pumpkin and the bat pumpkin but she gave runners up awards to a good few other entrants.

I’m sure you’ll all agree that the pupils have made a wonderful job of their homework task! Well done everyone what an unusual and topical task.
