Find Out More About Beaver Scouts
We received this letter from Christopher Martin who is leader of a new Beaver Scouts group. Here’s his letter, you may want to find out more and it certainly looks like a lot of fun for boys and girls.
“I am writing to you on behalf of the newly established 27th Aberdeen Beaver Scout Colony to request that you pass along the information to the parents at your school.
Starting on the 19th April this year, 27th Aberdeen Scouts will be opening their Beaver section for children aged six to eight years old. The section will be meeting on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 until 6:30 during term time, with some weekend activities such as camping trips and educational visits to be confirmed later in the year.
As an entry to Scouting, Beavers provides a fun and friendly atmosphere in which children can learn about a wide range of topics including the outdoors, community values, outdoor safety (e.g. Green Cross Code), craft skills, and much more.
I have attached a flyer with all of our details, it would be fantastic if you could print it for noticeboards, email it to parents, or any other ways you have of passing along messages like this.
Thank you very much for your time.
Kind regards,
Chris

Assistant Beaver Leader
27th Aberdeen Scout Group.”
