Footballers of the Future with the Help of TESCO, Graeme & Ewen

Miss Arnott has very kindly given us this report on the Tesco Bank Football Challenge.

Last Wednesday the Primary 2s and 3s put their football skills to the test at Tesco Bank Football Challenge. We have been very lucky to have Graeme or Rob from PDA and Ewen from AFC in school every week for football coaching- the festival was a fantastic way to end our term of football!

The festival took place at the outdoor pitches at St. Machar Academy- luckily it was a beautiful day! The Primary 2s and 3s spent an hour with football professionals and coaching stations before moving to the games zone! They were then split into teams and played against Sunnybank and Seaton Primaries.

We have so many photographs, that I’ve just made a slideshow of them all. Hope you enjoy looking at the fun the pupils had and a special thank you to our parent helper for taking the photos for us.

The Tesco Bank Football Challenge takes place all over Scotland and is designed to encourage children to become more active and develop a love of football. Tesco Bank has invested £1 million in a four year football programme for school. The aim is to reach 72,000 boys and girls in 1,600 primary schools across the country!

The boys and girls had a whale of a time. Perhaps we’ll see some new Rachel Smalls or Ryan Jacks.
