Day for Change @ Riverbank

Friday 13 May 2016 is UNICEF’s Day for Change and this year it really is a Day for Change! We are collecting CHANGE for UNICEF in the hope that our change can help change the lives of children in Syria. If you see any Day for Change boxes in school or in Tilly over the next few days, please drop some change into them.

The children may come to school dressed as their favourite Super Hero or wear something BLUE as BLUE is UNICEF’s colour. We would hope that a donation of £1, or whatever you can afford, would be made for the privilege of coming to school dressed as you please.

Day for Change StallsFriday’s fundraising will be for Day for Change, Cash for Kids and the Wishing Well. Throughout the day, the pupils will have the chance to visit the Cake Stall – various prices, Nail Bar – 50p, Face Painting Stall – 50p, Raffle Stall – 20p a ticket, Tattoo shop – 20p, Guess the Number of Sweeties in a Jar (if Miss Hampton hasn’t eaten them all first!) – 20p………..And………we are hopeful that Russell Anderson and a member of the Aberdeen Football Club first team will be able to attend for part of the day to sign autographs or have a Selfie taken – 50p.

The staff have their own little lottery on the go too, again, with all proceeds to Day for Change.

As you know Mrs Sunley is now off on maternity leave but before she left, she was hopeful that we would beat our last year’s total. So we’ll do our best to do that for her with the help of Team Riverbank!
