Nursery Graduation 2017
Today was Graduation Day for the nursery children who are moving to Primary 1 in August. There was a morning and afternoon graduation as we have morning and afternoon nursery classes.
Both events followed the same programme with the children singing one of their favourite songs followed by a viewing of a wonderful DVD put together by Mrs England, one of the nursery’s early years practitioners. The DVD was a montage of photographs of the children in the two nursery sessions and highlighted all the activities they got up to over the course of the academic year. This was followed by the children receiving their graduation certificate from Mrs Ironside while Mrs Innes gave us a few words about the personality and likes and dislikes of the children. It was a really lovely occasion. The final part of the graduation was a return to the nursery for some juice, fine pieces and a photographic opportunity.
Everyone appeared to have thoroughly enjoyed the Graduation Ceremony and it is was lovely to see so many parents, carers and relatives at the ceremony, supporting their children and the nursery staff.
