A Visit to the Christmas Village

The pupils in Mrs Smith’s class were invited to visit the Christmas Village which is based in Broad Street. Mrs Smith thought this would be an opportunity not to be missed but because of the nature of the outing it would require lots of adult help. So, first of all, a huge thank you to the staff – PSAs and teaching staff, volunteers and parents who gave up their time on what was a very, very cold evening to support the pupils in their visit to the Christmas Village.

The pupils were able to try out the helter skelter, teacups, carousel, ice skating, a rather exciting twisty swirly thing but not the huge upside-down ride. We even met up with some of our pupils who were visiting the Christmas Village from the Lads Club after school club. We also had a look round some of the stalls before returning to the Marischal Quad for some juice and sweets. Some of the adults indulged in a warming coffee from Starbucks before heading for home.

The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit…not sure if the adults did! Too much excitement and rather cold saddles on the carousel!
