Wish we’d had maths like this when I was at school!
Primary 1 Mc, Miss McLaren’s class, put a whole new slant on mental maths when I visited this afternoon. I was a little bit concerned when I was invited to a water balloon activity! I shouldn’t have been worried at all as this was a super learning experience.
With the help and support of Michelle Howart our Early Years Practitioner in P1 and Miss McLaren, the children were given some simple sums and they had to record their answers by throwing their water balloons at the correct target. Boy, are those water balloons difficult to burst….bounce, yes, burst, no! We had great fun…yes, this big kid had a go, too!
What a super way to improve your counting skills!
