Shut Those Doors!!! Let Us See Your World Book Day Covers!
World Book Day was celebrated on Thursday 7 March. The children received their World Book Day tokens and participated in literacy activities.
Riverbank ran a competition for all classes including the nursery classes based on books! Well, why not? It was World Book Day!!
The challenge set for each class was to decorate the classroom doors as a book cover. There was to be a prize for the best door at Early, First and Second Level classes. The classes in the modular units found it difficult to put things on their doors so some of those classes chose to do a wall display instead. The judges were to be members of the Management Team!
When this challenge was set the Management Team couldn’t possibly known how difficult the judging was going to be!
The judging was really difficult as every class had made such a great effort but after a great deal of deliberation choices were made.
