Riverbank’s Pride in being STEP School of the Week for Scotland!
We have a group of children who have been participating in the STEP programme. They work on literacy tasks in a physical or active way.
Each pupil is paired up with a PSA and the two, pupil and PSA, work together as a team in completing a number of quite tricky tasks.
The work carried out is recorded on an i-Pad and recorded on the STEP website. Our coordinator in school, Mrs Smith, works closely with the pairs in ensuring that the whole programme runs smoothly.
We were so surprised, pleasantly that is, when Mrs Smith came to show us a certificate which had arrived. We were the STEP School of the Week for Scotland for the week of 15-19 of April. The team’s commitment to the STEP sessions had been 100% that first week back after the holidays.
It’s amazing what a holiday can do to pep you up for the hard work ahead!
