P3-4S Learn About Diwali
P3/4S have been learning about Diwali with our student Miss Brannen. They have been learning about the significance of light and also a Diwali dance which they really enjoyed. The class also made some Diwali lamps.
Diwali is a festival of lights and celebrated by hindus, jains, sikhs and some buddhists. The festival usually lasts five days. Diwali signifies the victory of good over evil. The lights and diyas are present everywhere signifying the eradication of dark shadows and evil. All the people celebrating and praying together create an atmosphere of love and purity. It is the day to reflect on one’s past and make better decisions in the coming year.
