Taking our Number Work Outdoors!

Miss Cody’s class has been doing quite a bit of work outdoors and they sent me a report with some photographs of the work they’ve been doing whilst braving the elements.

During our outdoor learning session P2C were consolidating their learning of comparing numbers using different symbols such as greater than, less than and equal to using sticks and numicon. The children worked in small groups to compare numbers. We all had lots of fun. 

If you look carefully you will see that the children have used twigs to show greater than and less than! Remember, the little ‘pointy’ arrow head always points to the smaller number!
