Thank you to everyone who managed to come along to our Nursery Christmas Sing-a-long last week. It was really great for us all to enjoy a little festive cheer together! The children were delighted to have family members joining in with their songs. Now you will be able to sing them at home as well!

Today we were decorating our Christmas tree. It’s a lovely time of year in Nursery!
Puppet Show
We were lucky to have a puppet show come to Nursery today! They performed several well known tales and the children had a great time watching and joining in. Have a look!
Nursery Open Day
Thanks to everyone who managed to come along to our Open Day yesterday. We hope you enjoyed seeing what was going on in Nursery and joining in with the children as they played. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Have a look at some photographs we took on the day.
Nursery Open Day
Just a quick reminder to everyone that we are having our Nursery Open Day tomorrow – Wednesday 4th October. This is an opportunity for you to drop in to Nursery between the hours of 1.30pm – 3pm to see what’s happening! You can have a look around and perhaps take part in an activity with your child. We are looking forward to seeing everyone who can manage to give us a visit. Watch this space for photographs of the event – you might see someone you know!

Nursery Graduation 2017
Thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday’s  Nursery Graduation Ceremonies. The children did so well and we are very proud to have been part of their journey to Primary 1.  We would also like to give a special thank you to the Parent Council who gave a generous donation towards the cost of the Graduations. We wish the children all the best for next session and look forward to hearing about their continued progress. Have a great holiday!

Butterflies
The children (and the adults!) have loved watching the progress of our butterflies. We were able to release them on a sunny day last week. Hopefully they will have flown to somewhere with lots of flowers. Have a look.
Visits to Tillydrone Library
Over the last 2 weeks the children have been going in groups to visit Tillydrone Library. This has been a good opportunity for the children to find out about a great resource in the local community. Â When we got there we had super storytelling sessions with the Librarian and parents who came along also had the chance to meet Sarah Maitland from the Family Learning Team. All the children had a good time and we would like to thank all the parents who helped us walking with the groups. Have a look at some of the photographs we took!
As tomorrow is the last day of term we will see you again on Tuesday 18th April. Have a great Holiday!

World Book Day
With the rest of the school we were celebrating World Book Day last Thursday. In fact it was really a Book Week in Nursery! We did lots of different activities related to books including storytelling, visiting the school library and, of course, dressing up as a favourite character. We will continue this theme and have planned some visits to Tillydrone Library for storytelling with Sarah Maitland from the Family Learning Team. There will be more information about this soon. In the meantime have a look at some of our photos.
Robert Burns Day
On Wednesday 25th January we celebrated Burns Day in the Nursery. We took part in several activities including Scottish songs, Scottish dancing and we made some some tartan artwork. Some of us were even wearing tartan clothes. At snack time we had shortbread, a taste of vegetarian haggis and a small cup of Irn Bru. Some people really enjoyed the dancing! Have a look at our photos.
