P6-7B Find Out More About Article 22 of the UNCRC

As part of a mini-topic on UNICEF’s Kid Power and the UnitedNationsConvention on the Rights of the Child, they were interested in how refugee children had their rights. They discovered that Article 22 of the UNCRC states that if a child is a refugee or is seeking refuge, governments must make sure that they have the same rights as any other child. Governments must help in trying to reunite child refugees with their parents.

IMG_1083Following on from this, they carried out work on welcoming refugee children to Scotland and aired their thoughts on this crisis. Please visit Miss Robertson’s and Mrs Baxter’s class blog to find out more about what P6-7B had to say on child refugees. You can use this link to get there faster.
