Over the last 2 weeks the children have been going in groups to visit Tillydrone Library. This has been a good opportunity for the children to find out about a great resource in the local community. When we got there we had super storytelling sessions with the Librarian and parents who came along also had the chance to meet Sarah Maitland from the Family Learning Team. All the children had a good time and we would like to thank all the parents who helped us walking with the groups. Have a look at some of the photographs we took!
As tomorrow is the last day of term we will see you again on Tuesday 18th April. Have a great Holiday!
With the rest of the school we were celebrating World Book Day last Thursday. In fact it was really a Book Week in Nursery! We did lots of different activities related to books including storytelling, visiting the school library and, of course, dressing up as a favourite character. We will continue this theme and have planned some visits to Tillydrone Library for storytelling with Sarah Maitland from the Family Learning Team. There will be more information about this soon. In the meantime have a look at some of our photos.
On Wednesday 25th January we celebrated Burns Day in the Nursery. We took part in several activities including Scottish songs, Scottish dancing and we made some some tartan artwork. Some of us were even wearing tartan clothes. At snack time we had shortbread, a taste of vegetarian haggis and a small cup of Irn Bru. Some people really enjoyed the dancing! Have a look at our photos.
Here are some of the photographs taken at the Christmas Party. A great time was had by all! The Nursery Team wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you on the 9th January 2017!
Thanks to everyone who managed to come along to the Christmas Sing-a-long on Thursday 15th December. It was a lovely morning and all the children seemed to have a great time. Now we are looking forward to the Nursery party on Wednesday 21st December! Have a look at a few of our photos.
On Tuesday we went on a special trip to Tyrebagger Forest. We went on a forest walk adventure and we were able to choose our own Christmas tree for the Nursery. Some of Santa’s friends were there to help us and we all had a great time. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help and to those parents who came with us on the day. Have a look at our photos to see what we got up to!
We took advantage of the cold weather last week to find out a bit more about the changing states of water. We went on walks to look at the frosty environment and to see what happened when the frost came inside. Hope you like our photos!
Well done to everyone who took part in the fundraising for Children in Need last week! We are still collecting and I will let you know the final total raised by the Nursery soon. We had a fun time in Nursery and I hope you all enjoyed the biscuits. Have a look!
Welcome to the morning Nursery Blog! We have had such a busy term getting to know each other and taking part in lots of activities. A big thanks to everyone who managed to come along to the Open Morning – it was a lovely day. Here are some of the photographs we took on the day.
It was Nursery Graduation today and nearly 60 of the children took part in our graduation ceremony in the dining hall today in front of a full house of very proud mums, dads, grandparents, aunties and uncles!
Each of the children received a certificate , a ‘goodie bag’, and wore their own mortar board hats. Halfway through the ceremony the children performed some of their favourite songs.
Even the teachers got a special certificate from Mrs Ironside and Mrs Sunley.
