Red Nose Day 2019

To celebrate Red Nose Day the children used their numeracy,  literacy, teamwork and creative skills to make cupcakes.

Thank you to all those who made a donation for the cause.

Have a look at some pictures of our fun baking day!

Open Day

The focus of our open day was Science. The children experimented withĀ  a variety ofĀ  ingredients to create an erupting volcano and magic milk. The children were able to follow verbal instructions along with a visual recipe and method.

Thanks to all parents and carers who got involved!

Pancake Day

We would like to share some of our photos from Pancake Day.

The children had lots of fun working together to measure out the ingredients to make the mixture. The children poured and flipped their pancake ensuring to be safe around the griddle before decorating and eating them for snack!

Robertson Group

We are currently building up a new relationship with Robertson Group.

Kelly, Ashleigh and Dave the Bear had a visit to nurseryĀ  this week to discuss all things safety and provide some beginner experiences using some tools within their construction industry.

The children loved every minute of the visit, sharing their knowledge, dressing in the safety uniform and guessing the equipment in the hidden box.

We will continue to work alongside Robertson GroupĀ  who will be providing workshops and opportunities to visit local building sites.

Have a look at our little builders in the making!

Shop

Ā The children decided they wanted to make homemade muffin pizzas for their snack. Before we left we had to make sure we had the essentials for our shopping; shopping list, bags and money.

Off we went on a walk to our local shop McColl’s to buy the ingredients. The children chose the cheese and tomato paste along with some grapes and oranges too. At the till the children then paid for the shopping using the nursery bank card!

The pizza’s were delicious!!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Christmas sing-a-long. The children performed extremely well and were delighted to share this festivity with their families. The extra voices in the audience were much appreciated. Happy caroling!

The Critter Keeper Show

Today we had a visit of a Critter Keeper – what an amazing workshop!!!

He brought a selection of exotic animals and insects. The children were able to see them closely. They learned lots of interesting facts about them and were even able to touch some of creatures. WOW!!!

It was fun and exciting and most of the children (adults too) were brave enough to touch the critters!!!

We saw “Kaa” the Royal Python snake, “Kremit” the Tree Frog, “Marshmallow” the fluffy rabbit, “Prickles” The Pygmy Hedgehog, Bearded Dragon, Giant Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, “real” Incy Wincy hairy spider (Tarantula) and others.
