The children had a great time at the party yesterday. Lots of games, competitions and party food! Not only that – we had a special visitor who we were all really pleased to see. Have a look!
We were lucky to have a puppet show come to Nursery today! They performed several well known tales and the children had a great time watching and joining in. Have a look!
Well done to all the children who took part in the Sponsored Walk yesterday! They did really well and everyone managed to complete the 4 laps of the playground (1mile) that we were aiming for. A big thank you also to everyone who supported the children and sponsored them to take part. So far we have raised over £250 and hopefully there will still be some more money still to come in. I will keep you posted! We took lots of photos so have a look and see how the children got on.

A big welcome to all the children who are going to be joining us at at Riverbank Nursery over the next few weeks and a big welcome back to all the children who were with us last year. The children (and the adults!) have loved watching the progress of our butterflies. We were able to release them on a sunny day last week. Hopefully they will have flown to somewhere with lots of flowers. Have a look.
We took advantage of the cold weather last week to find out a bit more about the changing states of water. We went on walks to look at the frosty environment and to see what happened when the frost came inside. Hope you like our photos!
Last week in Nursery we were visited by the Police! Davie Orr who is based at St Machar Academy came and talked to us about keeping safe. He also spoke about the role of the Police in the community and showed us some of the equipment he uses. Have a look at our photos!
As you know much of our learning has been related to “Autumn” since we came back from the October holidays. We have had great fun walking in the school grounds, hearing the Leaf Man story and making our own pictures of Leaf man. Have a look and see!
The Nursery team hope you all have a lovely holiday. Hopefully we will have good weather and we can all get out and about! Our first theme after the holidays will be “Autumn”. If you find anything intertesting when you are out for a walk or at the park we would love to see your items in Nursery. Maybe an unusual leaf or some conkers! The weather will be colder after the holidays so make sure you are wrapped up warm when you come back to Nursery. Wellies are also good to keep childrens’ feet dry. See you on Monday 24th October!
