What a Sight!

It seems we have some budding artists at Riverbank.

Some of our pupils were involved in an art project called ‘What a Sight!’ The project was to have the children focus on something they saw every day in their local area. The pupils were taken out into the local neighbourhood by Colin, the artist responsible for the project, and their class teachers. The children were encouraged to draw an image of the scene they’d seen in real life. The children then had to develop that idea artistically and then give a written reason as to why they had chosen that scene.

The project is open to more than one school and the winners from each school go forward to the final assessment.

Picture2I have included a photo of Riverbank’s winner. He received a fantastic art kit for being our winner. Well done and I wonder if you can recognise what he used as his inspiration?
