Another Greatest Dancer @ Riverbank!

We have another addition to our Wider Achievements Board in the shape of one of our talented Primary 1 pupils.

Doing the splits and hanging on to her trophies!

I was walking along the corridor when I was rather surprised to see Sean, one of our EYPs, carrying some rather large and heavy trophies. “Are those yours?” I asked. “No!” was the reply. “They belong to my friend.” I had another look and saw a young lady with Sean.

Our young lady was telling me that she is a member of Dance

Just as well our young dancer had Sean with her as the trophies were rather large and heavy!

United under the tutelage of Becca Walker. She recently competed in the Under 6 Intermediate Freestyle and Diva classes at a dance competition in Bridlington, Yorkshire. She was placed 2nd in the Freestyle category but came 1st in the Diva category. She showed us part of her dance routine which included doing the splits!!!

When I asked her what she liked best about her dancing, she said, “I love dancing! I like dancing alone and as part of a group. I enjoy taking part in competitions.”

Riverbank has a wealth of hidden talent and it’s amazing what our youngsters can achieve at such a young age. Our congratulations go to our successful young dancer and we hope she keeps up the good work. I believe she has another competition on the 10th of March and we’ll keep our fingers crossed that she manages to continue her success and I’m certain she’ll do her best!
